The Battlers will try to continue their winning ways in the new year as they prepare for two big regional games against the University of District of Columbia and Cheyney University.
January 4 has the Battlers slated against the Firebirds of UDC. UDC traveled to Philippi earlier in the season and the Battlers picked up their second win of the season 85-73. Eargle paced the Battlers with 28 points, nine rebounds, six steals, and five assists.
However Eargle was not the top scorer for the game as UDC's Nigel Munson lit up the scoreboard with 33 points on 12-19 shooting from the floor including 4-6 from deep. The Firebirds have recently picked up their first win of the season with a very challenging schedule and will come into the game with a record of 1-11.
On January 6 A-B will travel to Philadelphia to the campus of Cheyney University in their first regular season meeting during Coach Zimmerman's tenure. This is not the first time Zimmerman has faced the Wolves. Two years ago the Battlers knocked Cheyney out of the NCAA tournament in the first round off Jordan Morrison's 19 points off the bence.
The Wolves will come into the game with a record of 5-2. What is more impressive about the 5-2 start is that all the games have3 come on the road due to their recent renovation of the gym floor. A-B will be the first home game for the Wolves.
