The Battlers took care of business for the fourth consecutive game and this time it was in dominant fashion. A-B made the drive to The University of District of Columbia for a rematch from earlier in the season. The Battlers won the first match earlier in the season at Rex Pyles Arena by the score of . This game would not be as close.
The Firebirds were without Nigel Munson who dropped 33 against the Battlers in the first matchup but they had last years leading score Tim Ellison back in the line up. Ellison would not be enough for UDC.
Alderson-Broaddus never trailed for the second consecutive game as they started the game out on a 6-0 run and never gave the lead up. The Battlers biggest lead came in the first half with thirteen minutes left when Junior Mark Summerfield hit his third three of the half on just as many attempts to give A-B a 18-4 advantage. UDC would go on a run at the end of the half led by Kennith James and Ellison and they went into half trailing the Battlers by a score of 34-27.
It would not be nearly as close in the second half as the Battlers got major contributions from Terrell Eargle, Junior Carl Buck, and Sophomore Jamar Board. Buck and Eargle hooked up on several occasions as Buck exploded with nine points and seven assists. Board who led all scorers with 22 points scored 15 of them in the second half. Eargle had a double-double at halftime and showed to many why he was named WVIAC conference player of the week. He would end up with yet another impressive stat line as he had 14 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists, and two steals.
A-B held the Firebirds to just 12 second half points as they outscored UDC by 27 points. The Firebirds were held to just 28 percent shooting in the second half compared to the 64 percent posted by the Battlers. The final score ended up heavily in A-B's favor 80-46 as the Battlers improved their record to 4-2 on the season and picked up yet another Atlantic Region win. A-B will look to continue their winning ways on the road against Cheyney University in Philadelphia, PA in another Atlantic Region matchup.
