Lady Battlers Let Lead Slip Away, Fall to UPJ

(Johnstown, PA) --- The Lady Battlers
were outscored 40-23 in the 2nd Half as they dropped one on the road tonight to the University of Pitt-Johnstown by a score of 75-61.  A-B would go into the locker room with clinging to a 38-35 lead.  Amanda Harris would push the lead to six at 41-35 immediately out of the intermission, but then it would be all UPJ as the Lady Lions used a 16-4 run over the next five minutes to seize control.  Monae Baker's three pushed the lead to 60-51 with 10:08 to play, and Coach Allen's squad would get no closer then five the rest of the way.


Tori Charley led the way for Alderson-Broaddus recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds.  Amanda Harris added 15 points and Caitlyn Brown would chip in 14 as A-B falls to 4-7 Overall and 2-4 in the WVIAC.  

UPJ's Andrea Dalton would lead all scorers with 21 off the bench, while Monae Baker and Sheena Aden each added 18 points.   

Alderson-Broaddus returns to action this Monday as they play host to the Senators of Davis & Elkins.  Tip off from Rex Pyles Arena is at 5:15 pm.
