(PRINCETON, W.Va.)---Only a pair of WVIAC men's basketball contests are slated for a rare slow Monday evening. Alderson-Broaddus (12-2, 8-1) takes their 12-game win streak to Bluefield State (3-11, 3-6), while Davis & Elkins (7-6) steps out of conference play to host Lake Erie (6-14). Both games are slated for 7:30 p.m. starts.

A-B has not lost since a 76-72 setback to Charleston on November 28. The Battlers improved to 8-1 in WVIAC play with an impressive 81-61 road win at Seton Hill on Saturday evening. Sophomore Jamar Board ranks second in the WVIAC in scoring at 21.4 points per game. WVIAC Player of the Year contender Terrell Eargle leads the league with 11.3 rebounds and 4.2 steals per game. He also ranks among the conference leaders with 15.9 points and 4.3 assists per outing. Junior forward Carl Buck has scored in double figures during his last four games.

Bluefield State was limited to a season-low 39 points in a 29-point loss at Wheeling Jesuit on Saturday. David Noel (16.4 ppg) and Rico Thompson (15.4 ppg) are the leaders for the Big Blues. BSC has won their past two home WVIAC contests with victories against Salem International and Concord.

Davis & Elkins picked up a huge win on Saturday as the Senators ended Fairmont State's nine-game win streak in a 71-68 triumph. Revenge will be on the mind of Bruce Martin's club on Monday evening when Lake Erie comes to town.

The Senators had one of their poorest shooting efforts of the season in the January 4 loss to Lake Erie, making only 35.4 percent of their field goal tries during the 88-62 setback. Lake Erie also owned a 53-27 rebounding edge.
