Institute, WV -- The Lady Battlers watched a 2nd half lead disappear last night as they fell on the road to WV State 65-59.  Leading 47-40 with 6:07 to play, A-B would watch as the WVSU Lady Jackets finished the game on an 18-5 run to steal the victory.

Tori Charley led the way for the visiting Battlers with 22 points and 13 rebouds, going over the 1000 pt mark for her career along the way. Amanda Peoples added 11 points as A-B falls to 7-15 on the season and 5-12 in the WVIAC.

Marshall Transfer Alixandria Barnette paced WV State with 29 points and 8 rebounds.

The Battlers connected on 21-53 (39.6%) field goals and 7-16 (43.8%) from behind the arc.

The turnovers plagued A-B yet again as they had 25 miscues compared to just 16 for the host Jackets.

Lady Battlers look to rebound against UC this Thursday at home.  Tipoff is at 5:15pm.
