Philippi, WV -- The Alderson-Broaddus Men's Basketball Team saw a 20 point lead dwindle to 5 late in the 2nd half, but they held on for the victory 78-66 over the Bobcats of WV Wesleyan.  Jamar Board led the way with 18 points, Carl Buck added 15, Terrell Eargle chipped in 12 points and Roy Brown came off the bench to score 11 points for the Battlers as they improved to 19-5 Overall and 15-4 in the WVIAC.

Justin Caldwell led the Bobcats with a game high 23 points.  Dominique Ngniman added 19 points Neven Zeravica had 11 as WVWC fell to 6-19 Overall and 6-14 in conference play.

A-B wouldn't get away without a scare in this one.  After leading by 11 at the break, the lead would swell to 20 at the 12:29 mark.  Over the next 10 minutes, Wesleyan slowly chipped the lead down and after a Caldwell three found its self down five, 71-66, with 1:58 to play.

However a Roy Brown jumper and 5 of 6 free throws would seal the deal.

The Battlers once again took care of the basketball with just nine turnovers, six below their season average.

WV Wesleyan got things close in the 2nd half as they shot 69% from the field and 60% for the game.

A-B returns to action this Monday as they take on Glenville State.  Tip off in Glenville is at 7:30pm.
