(PRINCETON, W.Va.)---Two of the WVIAC's hottest squads battle when Charleston (13-5, 10-3) travels to Seton Hill (12-6, 8-5) in Thursday evening's premier league women's basketball matchup.

Charleston has won 11 of 12 contests, including a current five-game win streak.  The Golden Eagles have climbed into the third spot in the WVIAC standings and a victory could move UC into the league's top position.

Sherry Winn's Golden Eagles place all five starters in double figures for points.  Junior guard Lindsey Kentner leads the Golden Eagles with 17.4 points per game and also has team-best figures with 43 steals and 17 blocks.  Kaitlyn Arick chips in 13.4 points per game.  Tarenna Dixon averages a double-double with 12.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per outing.

Seton Hill has won four straight league contests after nearly falling out of the WVIAC title picture with four consecutive setbacks last month.  The Griffins gutted out a 57-56 win at Pitt Johnstown on Monday evening.  Katie Lintner tops SHU with 14.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.  Jordan Burkes contributes 12.2 points per outing.

UC won last season's meeting 54-42 in a rugged defensive struggle.  The Golden Eagles limited Seton Hill to 28 percent shooting in the loss.  Kentner had 13 points for the victors.  Burkes tallied 13 points, while Lintner had 11 points and 15 rebounds for SHU.

Fairmont State (12-5, 9-3) dropped out of the WVIAC lead following Monday's loss at Shepherd and the Falcons have a tough test on Monday when West Virginia State (11-7, 7-6) comes to Joe Retton Arena.

State has won four straight and is led by Marshall transfer Alixandria Barnette's 16.7 points per game.  FSU guard Ashley Vavrek stands third in the WVIAC scoring race at 19.8 points per contest.

Concord (10-7, 7-5) visits Pitt Johnstown (9-9, 6-7) in a battle of teams fighting to get back among the WVIAC's upper half.

West Liberty (12-5, 8-4) goes for their eighth straight victory when Alderson-Broaddus (6-11, 4-8) pays a visit.

West Virginia Wesleyan (11-7, 9-4) currently owns the WVIAC lead, but could drop out of the top spot in the league power ratings even with a win over struggling Salem International (0-17, 0-12).

Davis & Elkins (9-9, 5-8) seeks to end a three-game losing streak on the road at Wheeling Jesuit (8-9, 7-5).

Second place Glenville State (11-6, 9-4) takes their Division II leading 94.2 points per game scoring average to Ohio Valley (4-13, 2-11).

The night's action is completed when undermanned Bluefield State (1-17, 1-12) goes to Shepherd (10-7, 9-4) for a late 8:00 p.m. start.
