(Johnstown, PA) --- Alderson-Broaddus continued their recent strong play in men’s soccer as they took down Pitt-Johnstown 2-0 on the road. This was A-B’s second consecutive victory and their first in conference play.

The first goal came in the 47 minute as Paul Ogedegbe hit a cross through several defenders to hit Wilson for the goal. It was a stalemate the rest of the game until Michael McDermott got Wilson the ball in the 87 minute. Wilson then dribbled around a defender and scored the second and final goal. Wilson brought his season goal total to four.

UPJ outshot the Battlers (3-4 Overall, 1-2 WVIAC) 17-11 on the game but the Battlers held the edge on shots on goal by a margin of 6-3. A-B also held a slight advantage on corner kicks 9-8. Josh Teets has started two games at goalie for A-B and has had two consecutive shutouts.

The Battlers will return to action Saturday against conference foe Wheeling Jesuit as A-B tries to even their conference record. Kickoff is at 2pm.
