(Philippi, WV) --- The Alderson-Broaddus Volleyball Team snapped their three match losing streak with a 3-1 victory over the visiting Lady Storm of Lake Erie College.

Both teams picked up a set early as the Lady Battlers (5-8 Overall, 1-0 WVIAC) struggled on the attack, hitting just .091% in sets one and two. However, they quickly warmed up taking sets three (25-7) and four (25-17), hitting a combined .321%.

Amanda Check led the way with 12 kills, while April Lammert and Cassie Marsh each added 11. Marsh chipped in three service aces and nine digs. Lammert hit an impressive .421% for the match.

Setter Sam Wisbon recorded 46 assists, six digs and three service aces.

A-B returns to action this week with three big WVIAC matches. They travel to Institute, WV this Wednesday to take on rival WV State at 7pm. The Lady Battlers will continue on the road this weekend as they travel to UPJ on Friday and Shepherd on Saturday.
