The Lady Battlers Volleyball fought tough but couldn't finish down the stretch as they fell to three PSAC teams over the weekend. Their record now stands at 4-8 Overall and 1-0 in the WVIAC.
In the opener, A-B would drop a 4 set match to Gannon University by a score of 17-25, 19-25, 25-22 and 20-25. Alderson-Broaddus would receive five kills apiece from Amanda Check, Lindsay Hadley and April Lammert. Cassie Marsh and Taylor Martin would each add four kills. Annie Federoff would record 25 digs and Sam Wisbon would pick up 25 assists.
In the night cap on Friday, A-B would again fight hard but come up short, losing to Mercyhurst in 4 by the score of 21-25, 21-25, 25-23, and 23-25. Marsh would record 11 kills on 30 attempts, with 3 errors for a .267 % to pace the Battlers. Wisbon would add 38 assists.
In the lone match on Saturday, Clarion would be too much for A-B College as they lost in straight sets by a score of 22-25, 12-25 and 24-26. Amanda Check had a team high 9 kills and she also came up with 15 digs.
The Lady Battlers return to action this Saturday as they play host to Lake Erie at 2:30 pm.
