(Philippi, WV) --- The A-B College Women's Volleyball Team improved to 4-5 Overall and 1-0 in WVIAC play with a 3 set win the visiting Lady Scots of Ohio Valley. A-B breezed through the first two sets by a score of 25-16, 25-14 and then 25-23 in third.
The Lady Battlers had a season best .275 hitting percentage in the match as they record 31 kills on 80 total attacks. Lindsay Hadley (So., Hedgesville, WV) led the way with 4 kills, as 13 players recorded a kill, with five players having three kills a piece.
Setter Sam Wisbon (Jr., Toledo, OH) led the team with 20 assists and Shanya Sweitzer (Fr., Deer Park, MD) added five.
A-B got a huge boost from their excellent serving performances as they picked up 15 services aces. Airriel Sonstegard (Fr., Centreville, MD) and Wisbon paced the team with three each.
The Lady Battlers will return to action this weekend as they travel to Erie, PA to take on Gannon, Mercyhurst and Clarion.
